Harmony Homestead of Rhode Island
GOT GOAT?

We thoroughly enjoy our goats and love to share our experience and fun with others. We welcome visitors. We chose Pygora goats because they are a perfect Homestead animal. They are small, friendly, and produce wonderful fleece. Some folks milk their does, but ours insist that they are strictly fiber animals.
Adding Fun

They do not eat anything that they can not reach! They are very friendly, extemely curious, and each goat has a unique personality
Nonsense

"Wether" you want a companion for your horse, want your own fiber animals, or just want to add some unusal personalities to your family, we want to share our goats with as many people as possible.
Our goats have gone to kindergarten, nursing homes, art and fleece festivals and wherever else they are invited!
We have gone sledding with them, taken long walks in the woods, and even shared a glass of wine together.

The Oaks Heidi is our herd matriarch.
She gave a beautiful set of triplets last year!
Heidi's fleece is medium Carmel type A/B.

From our herd last year are Waterlu's Jade and her doeling Pygora's East Tia Maria.
This mother daughter team adds spectacular bloodlines and we are thrilled to have them with us.
The Oaks Fritz is a large wether who is a farm character! He has climbed ladders to the barn roof top, and is the herd's resident escape artist.
Fritz is top goat in his mind and commands respect. He also loves wine. Fritz is a registered  black goat with medium gray Type B fleece.  His fiber has matured to include splashes of red. Beautiful!
Prince Poco is a wether with white A/B fiber.
He is the sweetest and friendliest goat you could imagine. Uncle Pokey likes to play with the new kids every year!
Harmony Homestead Bruno is a quiet wether that minds his own business. He is a  registered brown agouti goat with a dorsal stripe and sox.
His fleece is medium gray B/C .

Bolero has fully recovered from a broken leg.
She has extraordinary coverage of fleece on her body. She will be bred in the fall of 08.
The Private has strong bloodlines. He is black with a small belly band, left to right. This is his stripe! His fleece is a Light Brown B. His Sire is Pygora East Red Fox, from Waterlu's Willow, and McTimmond's Family Farm Sebastion.  His Dam is The Oaks' Bea 's Daughter Violet, from Hawks Mountain Ranch Sambo,
and The Goats Coat Bea.
Private Ryan has excellent  potential to bring us beautiful  babies. He has colorful ancestors with solid conformation, and strong A's and C's in the mix. We are looking forward to see his babies hit the ground near the end of May 08!
Please contact us to reserve a kid from Heidi, Tia Maria, or Jade.
